Trainer: Country House Won't Be Participating In Preakness

145th Kentucky Derby

(Louisville, KY) - Kentucky Derby winner Country House isn't running in the Preakness.

Trainer Bill Mott says the horse is showing signs of illness.

Mott had said previously Country House isn't going to just run the Preakness because he won the Derby and Mott says he wants his horse to be healthy.

Horse Maximum Security crossed the finish line first over the weekend, but was disqualified for interference.
