(Louisville, KY) - The University of Louisville has suspended basketball coach Chris Mack for six games without pay.

The suspension is in connection with the extortion attempt by former assistant coach Dino Gaudio. UofL says Mack failed to follow university guidelines, policies and procedures in handling the matter.

The suspension will be served from November 8th through the 27th. During that time, Mack cannot have any contact with the coaching staff or the players.
