(Louisville, KY) - The name and crest for Louisville's women's pro soccer team has been officially released.
The team is called Racing Louisville FC and will start playing in the spring. The team is backed by Soccer Holdings LLC, the same group behind the men's team, Louisville City FC.
Louisville is using the Racing name to pay homage to the Kentucky Derby. The team will use the color lavender.
Season ticket deposits are already being taken at the LouCity FC ticket office.
